Bastille Day dances often reflect the atmosphere of the city, the village organizes.
Location, time of celebration, which allows non residents to meet barrier-free condition, in a festive atmosphere.
As against, for example, no representation of the ball of the town in which I live, because, as every year, no dance is bounded, so not really people dancing, but just listening to the musicians, crowded around the podium ...
Unimaginative festival committee or city shut on itself ... ?
But a little later, a few kilometers away in another city of Provence, a real track bounded and girls frolicking and dancing until couples decide to venture into the empty space, ready to receive them.
And this picture black and white taken there over 40 years in a small village in Haute Savoie few hundred inhabitants ...
I do not remember if there were a lot of people, but I was struck by these two couples dancing at the bottom of the track, translation or not hyphenate duty bearer lives in between oneself too close.
You will find on Wikipedia a brief history of Bastille Day dances (July 14th) asThe National Celebration.
