From the end of October, the hills of wild vegetation of Provence are illuminated with red and orange colors of arbutus berries.

 

The arbutus berry is not the best fruits - weakly sweetened and do not insipid, with a lot of girls granules hard (the outside cover of the fruit). But it is especially a pleasure for eyes, and nevertheless it is not unpleasant, after a few hours of walking, to choose a very ripe, brick red arbutus berry, and to suck it and to spit out freely in undergrowth, these girls granules which can be also swallowed without big embarrassment.
