Cruel images of corpses of animals along our roads... Pierre Barthélémy, scientific journalist writing in the newspaper Le Monde which also publishes its Blog, quoted under the title The quoted study is available in its entirety, on the site Plos One, under the title : The study allowed to count 4447 corpses of animals along 37 km of road, on a duration 15 months. As we can read it in the title of the text, the scientists especially aimed at seeing with which speed these corpses disappeared, with its implication on the car traffic. To illustrate this sad reality, I drew from my archives, these few images giving a rather good idea of the diversity of the animals which can be mown by automobiles. I completed it, on the page in French, by a very pragmatic article of advice given in 1892 to the farmers, explaining them how to take advantage, in the countryside, of all the parts of the dead animals.
